Illeana Douglas began her acting career in 1988 while working for a publicist in New York. She quickly followed up her debut performance with several small roles in Martin Scorsese films before directing and starring in a comedy short, The Perfect Woman, which went to win a best short film award at the Aspen Film Festival. Since then Illeana has worked on dozens of TV and film projects before helming "Easy to Assemble."
