Riding high on the success of the first season, the all-star cast and crew of the award-winning internet hit Easy to Assemble have assembled once again at IKEA for another round of unconventional comedy for season 2. They are joined this season by several new-comers to the show, but names and faces well known in show business.
Illeana Douglas is hired to add some "show business sparkle" to her local Burbank IKEA. She soon finds she can't escape Hollywood though when manager Erik (Eric Lange) suggests she compete for the prestigious IKEA "Coworker of the Year" title against coworker and fellow actress Justine Bateman.
While Illeana adjusts to life outside the spotlight with coworkers Gigi (Cheri Oteri) and George (Daryl Sabara), Justine infuses a life and energy into the store with her own talk show "I'm 40 and Bitter" with guest's Ricki Lake and sidekick Spazzy Sheraton (Michael Panes). Spazzy is a snarky gossip guru who’s intent on digging through the garbage of celebrities (Kevin Pollak, Tom Arnold). With her refreshing take, Justine instantly becomes an Internet sensation and flavor of the month at IKEA with her live broadcasts from the middle of the store.
Stirring up an old rivalry between the actresses, Illeana starts to come up with more inventive ways to win including staging a dance number in the warehouse, organizing a speed dating night for herself and other "IKEAN'S" and trying to get Sweden's favorite band Sparhusen (Rob Mailhouse, Todd Spahr, Wally Langham, Keanu Reeves) to come out of retirement and play at the store.
